What are Ring groups?
Ring groups are a feature in many telephone systems, including Virtual-Call's Cloud PBX. They allow incoming calls to be routed to a group of extensions or phones instead of just a single phone.
Think of a Ring group like a team in a sports game. When the ball (the call) comes into play, any team member (any phone in the group) can take the ball.
This can be particularly useful in areas such as customer service or sales, where you want to ensure calls are answered as quickly as possible. When a customer calls, the call is sent to all members of the call group - whoever picks up first takes the call. If there is no one who can answer the call immediately, the call can be forwarded to where it should be handled next, for example to a voicemail or to a queue.
The Ring groups in Virtual-Call's Cloud PBX make it easy to manage this process and ensure that calls are always routed correctly.
